Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr., Congressional Candidate for District 23 in Florida, makes it widely known that he offers no tax-gimmicks or pork-barrel solutions as he addresses the multiple ills facing People in the District. "What I do offer is heart-felt and compassionate participation within the communities of Congressional District 23 (CD 23), a keen eye for improvement, and a steadfast promise to continue visiting with my constituents in order to assess District-wide priorities," states Dr. Thorpe. Congressional District 23 covers a five (5) County area that includes Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, West Palm Beach, Belle Glade, Clewiston, Jensen Beach, Stuart, and Port St. Lucie. CD 23 contains more geographic square feet than the State of Rhode Island.
As a measure of his sincerity and determination, Dr. Thorpe makes the following promise to the People of Congressional District 23: "I, Dr. Marion Dennis Thorpe, Jr., do solemnly pledge to work tirelessly on your behalf and to reach out to you long after the dust settles from the November 4, 2008 CD 23 election."
Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr. asks the People of Congressional District 23 to look forward, and not be distracted nor hindered by past failures in CD 23. Dr. Thorpe wants his constituents to focus on the dawning of a tremendously brighter day as signaled by his 2008 election.
