West Palm Beach, Florida 07/14/07 - Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr., Congressional Candidate for Florida's 23rd District, canvasses the District's 650,000 residents in a real-time manner by effectively utilizing the Internet presence of the following sites:

With the implementation of his detailed Information Management strategy, Dr. Thorpe ensures wide-spread awareness of the multiple issues affecting Floridians in Palm Beach, Broward, Hendry, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties. The magnitude of this massive electronic outreach is the first of its kind in Congressional District 23 (CD 23) which covers more square feet than the State of Rhode Island.

A key platform component for Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr. during the 2008 election for Florida's 23rd U.S. Congressional District seat centers on the palpable need to bring the residents of CD 23 into the 21st century. Dr. Thorpe states, "The Digital Divide is growing at an alarming pace in this District, which includes both inner city areas and rural farming areas." By design, Dr. Thorpe has created a seamless, real-time solution that greatly improves interactivity between the people of CD 23, Dr. Thorpe, and all interested advocates and organizations that have a like-minded desire to remove the Digital Divide in this Congressional District.

As a former health care CEO, Chief Medical Officer, and founding member of the State of Florida's Comprehensive Health Information Systems Council, Dr. Thorpe has led the charge for integration of emerging Information Technologies and e-Commerce Platforms throughout Florida since 1995. He has served on numerous Information Technology boards, including the Governor's Health Information Infrastructure Advisory Board, and Chair of the Technology Board of the Broward County Medical Association.

Dr. Thorpe indicates that the next phases of his Internet strategy will lead CD 23 to the forefront of Information Technology. "We must equip our present and future generations with 'Real World' skills that promote full use of the Internet's resources and capabilities in a manner that stimulates Congressional District 23 to produce the next Bill Gates" said Dr. Thorpe. "Given the status quo in CD 23, this goal may sound like a far-fetched notion at this juncture; however, my Congressional Candidacy fully represents 'A New Day, A New Way' for Florida's 23rd District."

Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr. has completed the first-phase launching of his Internet strategy while seeking Florida's 23rd Congressional District seat in 2008. By developing the following sites:

Dr. Thorpe has secured the fundamental groundwork necessary to close the ever-widening Digital Divide in CD 23. Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr. states that he will not rest until he ushers the people of District 23 into the 21st century.
