Thorpe, Jr., MD MPH has officially qualified as the Republican nominee for Florida's 23rd U.S. Congressional District; thus, ensuring Dr. Thorpe's place on the November 4, 2008 election ballot. "It is my life's mission to deliver "A New Day, A New Way" for the people of Congressional District 23," states Dr. Thorpe.

Dr. Marion D. Thorpe, Jr. is passionate about the need to improve the lives of people living in U.S. Congressional District 23 (CD 23) by implementing the Thorpe 08 P.E.A.C.E. platform. This Congressional District was specifically designed to provide African-American Congressional representation for the people of Palm Beach, Broward, Hendry, Martin, and St. Lucie counties; yet, sub-standard conditions have prevailed for far too long in CD 23," states Dr. Thorpe.
